    Hi8 Audio Sync Error

All right, I've browsed through the forums and haven't seen an audio situation quite like mine. Any help would be appreciated.

Problem: I have one Hi8 tape that plays back fine on my Sony DCR-TRV (it's not out-of-date, it's classic), but when I import it into my computer the audio plays at a noticeably slower rate than the video. After 1 hour, the audio is off by almost a full minute.

Strangeness: I don't have this problem with any of the other tapes in the stack (several Hi8, many D8). If I stop the digitization, stop the tape, and then start both up again, the audio is still off on the computer! All human logic tells me that digitizing the tape in pieces should fix the problem, but it doesn't.

    Hardware and Software:
2 GHz Intel Core Duo Mac
Sony DCR-TRV (D8, but with the ability to play Hi8)
    Standard Firewire Cable
Final Cut Pro and its built-in capture program

Any more information I can give, let me know. Thanks.

    Try Windv.
    You raise the blade,
    You make the change,
You rearange me till I'm sane.
You lock the door, throw away
    the key,
    There's someone in my head
    and it's not me.

I'm not using Windows. Even if I was, I'd like to know what might be causing this problem.

What is the rest of the model number, I can look up in the database for it, I believe a few of the DCR series did have a minor issue with syncronization when dumping into a PC. What I cant remember is if the fix involves sending the unit to a Sony authorized service center for a firmware update, or if its an update to the software that came with the camcorder for PC capturing.

        Here..I will fix it!

It's a DCR-TRV720, and I'm not using the bundled software, or a PC.

          Any help is appreciated.
