disc error, playback feature may not be available

I have downloaded, converted, and burned several dvd movies and they all played fine on any dvd player in the house. I have two movies that I have downloaded, converted and burned to a dvd disc that when inserted into any dvd player will cause the following message to be displayed: Disc Error;
Please eject this disc; Playback feature may not be available on this disc. However, both of these movies will play fine on my PC DVD player. I have tried downloading them again and have converted the avi files using both quenc and hcenc, same result. Can anyone tell me what's wrong and how to fix it? Thanks Fritz
