    my avi file plays small on my tv

    have philips dvp3166.. an avi file played as a very small image on my tv.. thinking that it had to do something with the image size setting, i changed it to 672*288, the setting of another video
    which had played ok on my tv.. it didnt work too.can any1 help me?

    You can use something like MediaInfo or GSpot to get more info about the file. But with the fast converters available for free these days if the running time is 2 hours or less it might just be simpler to make a DVD Video out of it. FAVC, d2mp, DVD Flick. If you're determined to keep it .avi you might try AviDemux 2.4 or Virtualdub. See the filters. Usually LanczosResize does a good good. If the video is sharp to start with you might try BicubicResize. Lanczos tends to come out sharper while Bicubic tends to produce a bit softer or fuzzier effect. Which looks best depends on the input. If you use an automatic avi=>dvd converter like DVD Flick then you don't have to mess with aspect ratio or any of that. About all you need to do is make sure it's set correctly to NTSC or PAL.
