DV run time @ 200mb of memory

Hi everyone thanks for looking at my post. Here is my situation:

I have 200mb of space available for a video and would like to know how much run time of video that would allow? The final output of the video wouldn't have to be the best quality or worst but it would have to be able to play on a Windows media player or a common desktop program.

I believe the video would be shot as an avi file then exported to some other file size that would be more practical such as a wmv. or mpeg.

Does anyone have any suggestions for the file format (with specifics) and have any idea of how much run time I would be allowed with the final file size exporting @ 200mb? Also any heads up information about resolution or any other preset I would need to alter for this video to turn out?

    Thanks,
    Matt

avi(xvid/divx) is probably the most practical

using capture to that format thru firewire saves the conversion

20-25 minutes of standard video should be around 200MB

    welcome to the forum

Do the DivX or Xivd formats have to have the proper software installed (downloaded from their site) in order for the video to play?

Or is the software just for converting the file?
