I'm an editor and mainly work on corporate videos. Often I'm given past projects from clients on DVD. I edit on Adobe Premiere and I use a 3CCD Mini DV camera.
Usually I capture the footage by connecting a DVD player to the Mini DV camera, record onto the Mini DV and then capture from the camera with firewire. Good side is that I retain the footage on Mini DV. Bad side is that its time consuming.
Someone suggested that with DVD Shrink and Super Converter I could capture the video from the DVD at a quality similar to that of the DVD.
Has anyone used DVD Shrink to capture the video from the DVD and been able to then convert the files into AVI or MOV files?
Or if you have a better solution please let me know.
Thanks.
