    Conversion determined on size

    Hi all, new to forum.

    Problem is this:
Would like to post video on the web.
The site requires a 100 MB max file size.
I need to decrease my video's file size.
I have some software that can do it.
BUT. It's one big guessing game.
change key frame, frame rate, compressor, etc. It's a big guess for me in the end on what file size I will end up with.
Now I once had some software that would give me an update on file size as I chanded settings such as frame rate, etc, before it would process it.
I have no idea what that software was anymore.
Does anyone know of some software that will do this?
I also would like to convert file as well as change file size (again with knowing outcome file size before having to go through conversion's waiting period). (conversion to just typical avi or mpeg)
    thanks all.

You could try this page: Video Help Tools

and select Bitrate Calculators from the drop down list.

        That's funny. I got 6 hits.
        Anyway there's always google.
If you're not going to calculate the bitrate
to predict the size then I don't know
        what approach to take.

I have just recently gotten back into model trains. I guess I have some leisure time on my hands working here in China and have set up a layout which is a work in progress.

My first question is regarding track and how to determine size that a curve will take up. I know from the track I have which is standard but I need a tighter curve and wonder how to accomplish this. I have read there is flexible track but I am in China and do not know where to obtain it. I also think if I had the shorter curve track that might solve my problem.

My second question is regarding the new style trains and the mentioning of DCC which I know about but have not concerned myself with getting into. The question is: Will a DCC train work on a standard transformer run track? I assume it will but not sure.

My third question is: I have some older trains with the old style couplers in HO gauge. Is there a conversion to the new style?

Thanks for you help. Any other help is welcome.

I didn't find your post very en-gauge-ing. Made me lose my train of thought. Guess we should run you out on a rail.
