DivX v3 is available here:

But it's rather old, so you might want to get the latest version (free if you only need the playback functions):

http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divxcodec6.html

Or if playback is your main concern, than I would recommend ffdshow as it will play pretty much all media files once installed, without being bundled with too much other stuff like codec packs.

Or if you just want a player, without having to install codecs, then the VLC Player works a treat.
