Pixellation and displaced lines with DivX-4CC

I use X-Vid with DivX 4-CC for most of my encodings. But you have fewer possibilities than with the DivX product line regarding playback - DivX player Alpha produces line errors in playback (thick line-like parts of the image are displaced horizontally - not the usual error produced by slow graphic cards). Also - I can't tell whether this is an encoding or decoding error - there is sudden 'pixellation' in 1-pass- and low bitrate-2-pass-encodings, where the whole picture looks blocky for a few frames.

How about adjusting the !*** XVid DirectShow-filter **! to 32 bit display depth and postprocessing options? Looking forward to a fully featured preview!

FFDSHOW Filter is the best playback filter I've come across for XViD and Divx 3,4, or 5 playback. Excellent tool with some good features. You can get it from www.doom9.net. I would recommend it for anyone. There is also a discussion over it in Doom9's forum in the XVid section.

you could use PowerDvd to play back it . If it has the same problem , it mat due to the Dvd you make Divx from or you need postprocessing .

I use *********** to convert DVD to Divx without any problem . If you are interested in it , You can download the trial version free from http://www.***********.com
You can use Divx Pro 5.0.2 as codec which you can download free at http://www.divx.com , also download Divx Player at http://www.divx.com to play back Divx movies or PowerDVD downloading at internet .
Why not have a try ?
