    Avi file rendering problem

    Hello, i am new here and m not that into codec stuff untill i downloaded this movie which i am not able to play in any of the players or analysers...i have tried on the following....
    players...mpcstar, divx, vlc,
    converters...total video conv, tmpgenc, nero
    others....virtualdub, klite pack, winhex

    i have tri everything but othing shows up except in winhex i got zeros in starting but many characters in between....every software shows unsupported type....
    how can i play this fil pleas help...

    What is the video file extension? Common files extensions like, AVI, mov, mpg, etc., tells you which codec to get. If you are running Windows with the latest service pack and have loaded Media Player, many video types will play. Another possibility is the video file is corrupt. File extensions like AVI can have many codec possibilities and can be cause for frustration.
