    Help!!!

    I need help!!
I've downnoaded a movie which is split into three parts, all with the axtension .avi ... when trying to play them in the windows mediaplayer it tells me that a fault occurred when trying to get codec...then it plays really slow....
I also tried a player from divx.com but it said that it wasn't a divx file...
Each part is about 700 Mb and I would be extremely grayeful if somebody knew which codec or player I need.

Open each file in Virtualdub and File -> File Information. That will give you a detailed information on the file. Post them here, so we can have a look and determine what codec(s) will be required.

      Error

Tried to open the files in virtualdub but this message appeared:

MPEG Import Filter: pack synchronization error

Is there something wrong with the files??

The files are in MPEG-2 format. You will need to have a software DVD player, like PowerDVD or WinDVD, installed. ALternatively, you need to have the AC3 codec and the appropriate DVD-playback codecs installed from either the Nimo or Tsunami codec packs.
