Problems with The Playa /Media Player

I need help, I have recently downloaded a film and when I try to play it on The Playa, a message appears saying "The location you selected could not be opened", or when I try to play it with the media Player, it only appers the sound but not the video...can anyone help me?
    Thank ou for you time!

Sounds like you have an old "Player" and it won't support the version of DivX used to encode the clip. You need to find out which versions of DivX is required to view it. For example, the new player from divx.com or divxity.com would most likely work (although you should be aware of bundled ad-aware software if that concerns you). To operate in WMP, you will need a newer codec instead of an entire player application.

Open the video file using Virtualdub and go to File -> File Information. Post the information it displays here. In addition, you might want to install BOTH 3.11 and the lastest divx codec from DivX.com, and see if it solves the problem.
