        well mill,
guess what chewy's doing with his asus NF2 mobo, installing windows again,
a little googling and I found the serial raid chipset drivers caused data corruption. asus still doesn't have the new drivers on their website.
The fact that I was running my system drive off a raptor 10,000K rpm
hard drive didn't help anything. Now let's see if I can get those ide drivers to work right!

Chewy, took a break for awhile had to get some air, sorry to leave you hang, i look at the bios screen again at start up. It seems i have bios rev-1015 after all, i was looking in the wrong place the first time. I opened the case and took a hammer to it , no just joking, but i did play around with the ide and the power cable, dont no ,but i was able to do the above burn somewhat?

Looking at your installed firmware: (Disc ID: RITEK-R03-02)

This modified firmware don't do anything with these discs that the original one don't. The original one does max 4X - and you had one posted burning log that went ok when you burned at 4X.

I wish i knew , i did a couple burns, and each time i get the same error, maybe the nec itself. The ribbon had a bad bend in it, i dont have a clue.

swap the cable with a new one to eliminate that, is it an 80 wire?

                                Cynthia ,
yea i did iso read and iso write, but it did not load in my pc or my home dvd player? I was testing the drive that was the only burning software i had on at that time, i think. Very long day
