your question, mill, was what exactly?

            - should you install this raid driver?
            - is it for x2 cpus?

i wouldnt install those raid drivers unless an existing raid wouldnt work (anymore)
the original drivers normally work fine

there's been something wrong quite a few times lately with those windows
hardware updates, learn to go into safe mode and choose last known good if
                  you try to use them!

so you're saying you havent installed/turned on c&q yet?

you should really do so as it really is a wonderful technology which wont slow you down or require constant user-interaction

mill, if I were you I would just watch my temps and if you start getting in the
40's idleing, then it would be worth your while to have C&Q installed.
I am going to do the same with my overclocking, but as long as I can run
cool, it's no benefit to have it.

I have activated Cool n Quiet (it was set to auto automatically). I also installed Power Monitor.

It goes down to 1000mhz when idling with my 64 3700 and it does go up to 2200mhz when it needs to.

Idling temperture is around 28 C. At the moment even with DVD Rebuilder running it is only 32 C and at 2200mhz.

In that little case I wouldn't even debate it, and would want all case fans running full steam ahead.
