My comment for you: get familiar with computers and the I-N-T-E-R-N-E-T before posting stupid s#it and insults in forums and political remarks when really you have no idea what you're talking about.

    'Nuff said. Don't bother replying.

      NncasMS,

Well you're still fireing, When are you going to put your gun down.

Reread my previous post again. Written word is easy to misunderstand. You might be saying it nice but, it seems hostile.

      Oldbie36,

What the hell is going on here????? I'm here to discuss not to insult, Freedom of speech is one of our fundamental rights. We live in a free world here, we can share and speak our minds unlike those who live in dictatorships. In my previous posts I spoke out against the war but we must move on and discuss what roads should be taken to rebuilding a country.
For those who know or read some of my other posts: did you notice the name Halburton in the news lately???

            EXACTLY ALWAYSBLUE!

I decided to make a thread inspired by the War on Iraq thread because it was closed due to somebody that we all already know the name of. I am not here to flame/insult anyone either but if Oldbie said he was going to end the conversation why didn't he just leave when he said he would? I never sent him a PM or personal e-mail lately and probably neither did anyone else. What is a couple clicks to get rid of an e-mail?

As for me ending this conversation Oldbie? I will end it when I feel I have expressed all I need to. As of right now I am not breaking ANY forum rules by expressing the way I feel. Unless something new has come up. Quit trying to hush everyone up just because you know most of this forum is based around YOUR act.

As for admin comparing himself to Saddam? Hmm we gotta find you someone else to compare yourself to. That just makes you seem evil

And the last comment why can't we spell the names right it is SKD_Tech not SDK_Tech or NncasMS.

              50 or less can't post.....

This new rule ( I understand why it is needed) sucks. I still consider my self a newbie..( one reson being I still don't know jack about dvd's, I am still willing to learn.) I don't post as much as i did when I first started because if I do a search all of my question have already been asked ( at least 20 times, all all answered 50 ways). So instead of making a new thread I chose to read the ones already there. The war on Iraq thread was always inresting to read. Again I understand why it was closed... but why such a high #(50) post needed to post in an off topic?
I like to read the off topics because it lets you get to know the people who answer you on more of a personal note instead of everything being all business. I dont know any of these people... but I have been to alot of there website's and read lots ofthere post.. i makes me feel like i am asking a friend for help not just computer

                To Oldbie36

Unsubscribe yourself from this thread and you'll be amazed at the reduced number of e-mail notifications (it's not spam or the sort, alright?).

I think I should have made myself a little clearer. The "50 post minimum" rule only applies for new posts, not replies. This is to avoid people coming on here, and starting a new off topics thread without even having a look at the other forums.

Of course, if a new thread has been started by a "50 post or more" member, than everyone can join in the discussion.

So far, there hasn't been too many new off topic posts initiated by new members, but I just wanted to avoid the situation where the off topics forum turn into the "main attraction" of the this digital video forum.

I don't think the changes are so big, and it doesn't have much to do with the Iraq thread thing, since with or without that thread, I would have put in the new rules anyway.

I am thinking about putting a new limit on when a member can post replies in this forum, in that perhaps there is a 5 post minimum for replies. If I do add such a limit, then I will also reduce the "new post" minimum to 25 or something lower.

Sounds like a good idea and sorry for the misunderstanding of the current rule.
