Anyone interested in fotball (Soccer) we can have a discussion here each week or every few days about ou tams. To be honest, even if im the only one ill still be posting all the time bout Man Utd.

m a Massive Man Utd fan. Im off to see them at Old Traffor against Arsenal on the 20th September and i cant bloody wait.


Oh, I also support Juventus in the Italian league, Real betis in the spanish (i love Denilson) and River Plate in Argentina.

Oh deary me. the tiredness, jet lag and general levels of the team did not look to good tonight. Our new signing Eric Djemba Djemba shows a lot of potential and looks like his style of play will fit right into the United squad no problem. However, David bellion isnt performing as well as hoped. He has the pace, but no the ability, maybe that will come with time.

The match tonight was minus many of our star players. The difference in the team was very noticeable as soon as the great Van Nistelroy came on in the last 10 mins. However, the score finished 3-1 to Sportin Lisbon. A reflectin on the game as a whole.

More importantly, the game no Sunday is against Arsenal and we WILL have our big guns on the pitch, firing as they have done before. We will show the Old Gunners how to play football.

Another big name has departed from Old Trafford. veron has finally left for the money packed Chelsea team where he will be getting £100,000 a week over the 52 weeks. Thats £5.2 million a year. Roman Abromivich obviously doesnt like his money too much, because although Chelsea will improve their Premiership and European games, they will never beat Man Utd in the standings as the worlds greatest football club. Chelsea *Spits on floor*, who the fu*k is Chelsea??

Looking forward to the Community Shield on Sunday ... although the result doesn't matter, I hope Arsenal wins, but I suspect they won't

None of our "star" players have had any serious pre-season work, and I doubt they'd be thrown into a competitive match like the CS just a week before the league starts, at least not without risking injury (which is highly likely to happen, as we're playing Manchester "hack-all-Arsenal-player-to-pieces" United after all ).

Still, I look forward to a good and competitive game. I'll be back on this thread to gloat Monday morning ... hopefully

Too true my firend, too true. I always love the games against Arsenal. They really could go either way. Arsenal pre-season has been very relaxed so far. I would expect a great performance from Arsenal, though i would also expect it to be in vain. With Man Utd's full squad playing, with Tim Howard in goal also, I really do think it is a team that cannot be defeated too easily. In saying that, if there are only a handful of teams capable of it, i would guess Arsenal is one of them, as we have seen in the past.

Im going to the Man Utd Vrs Arsenal on the 20th September at Old Trafford. I really cant wait. Might be getting dressed up as a Red Devil lol, if its not too warm. You'll probably see me on the TV lol

Looks like we have missed the deadline for getting Kleberson signed to play in the first stage of the champions League. You wouldnt think it would be soo hard to get a player a work permit, would you?? Its a bit disgraceful i think. I think he is still on his way to our great club, though, when he comes is anyones guess.

I also believe that Juventus have got first dabs on the amazing Ronaldho from Sporting Lisbon. Hopefull that can change since we have the partnership with them. Who knows.....

Im getting really excited about Arsenal. I just cant wait.

I've been waiting for any sort of football action for nearly 3 month now, since once the league season ends, practically nothing "soccer" related gets shown on Australian TV (cable/Pay TV).

Yes, it's winter here, but it never gets really cold. The coldest night recently was about 2 degrees celcius, last night was 9 degrees. Day time is about 15 degrees, so no snow or even ice, for that matter.

And while the UK has been having a hot summer lately, here, the summer usually has about a week that hovers around 40 or like last year, reaching as high as 42.

No football. Oh dear, i do feel sorry for you. Did you know that the highest divorce rates in the UK are during the football off-season?? Apparently football is a erlease for many people and a lot of people can get depressed when its not on. Not me though. Every wednesday, Brazilian footnall is shown on channel 4 and every thursday its argentinian football. On the weekends highlights of La Liga and Serie A can be found to interest. Then i have MUTV, football matches and news all day long. Im quite content with that

Only beaten on penalties, which is not bad, considering we had 5 subs and a sending off (three of our regular penalty takers were subbed off, and we're crap at penalties anyway).

As for your new signings, most of them look good, although they are for the future, not the present. We'll see how United do without Beckham supplying the crosses for Ruud.

And BTW, did someone lose to Stoke City

What about the game at Old Trafford today. I heard on the radio that christiano Ronaldo was very very good, likewise with Djemba Djemba. A great 4-0 victory for us then. Its a pity old Rudd missed a penalty again, he was doing so well at them. But he did score a goal so all is forigiven lol.

Arsenal did well though themselves though. Wouldnt you know, Campbell was sent off, first one this season. He did a Roy Keane last, last man back, lunge. A decent victory for you any way.

I'll post my opinions on the Man Utd match after i watch it on Sunday evening on MUTV. Are you looking ofrward to see if Chelseas big spending has enabled them to perform any better. Its the first time i can safely say im supporting liverpool in this match. I cant stand Chelsea, especially now that Zola's gone. Why o why did my Duff go there

I watched the Arsenal game live - Sol did not deserve a red card, as all he did was left a foot in too late, not intentional - yellow card at best. He was sent off because the ref thought he was the last man and stopped a clear goal scoring opportunity, despite the fact that there were actually two other defenders behind Sol who was closing Gravesen down, and Gravesen is too crap to score goals anyway

Arsenal actually played better with 10 men - both goals coming after Sol's sending off. The other center halfs, Toure and Keown both looked class though, and there's still Cygan ( ) and Senderos (the kid that Real and United both wanted) for backup. Everton's goal was, IMO, Lauren's (the right back) fault, as he left Radzinski (out of all people) alone when he should have been marking him. Radzinski was coming back from an offside position, and it was a close decision not to mark the goal offside.

The ref was clearly biased towards Everton (this is the same ref during the Arsenal VS United game last season, when Sol was also sent off for a non-elbow against Ole). Even the commentators thought that on many occasions, cards should have been handed out to Everton players - still, they did get 3 yellow and a red as well (should have been 5 yellows and 2 reds) - with so many cards handed out, I put it down to bad refereeing.

United did well against Bolton, which they should do well against (Bolton was 17th in the League last season), despite what happened in the last 2 season against them. I haven't watched the replays, but I did hear C. Ronaldo was pretty good, like a younger version of Pires. You have to worry about players that peak too early - at 18, they don't have the experience nor maturity to become a true world class player, so the manager has to guide them very carefully, sort of like what Moyes at Everton has done with Rooney (gently bring him into the team, and making sure he doesn't have a big head about it all).
