I got curious about another Senate "War Hero"...Max Cleland (D,Ga). An article I read said he was wounded by a handgrenade which blew off both legs and an arm at KheSahn...and never got a purple heart. I asked why...if he was at Khe Sann he had to be a marine. I was right...he was a marine captain...but I couldn't find any explanation of how he could become a quadraplegic without earning a purple heart...even if the good captain had been "fragged" by his own men he would have been awarded the purple heart. The only explanation I can think of is that he screwed up, somehow pulled the pin of his own grenade and got "hoisted by his own pitard". He presents himself as a wounded Viet Nam Vet...by the reality is he's a colossal f*ck up.

No sh.t ! Such type persons, do become government workers (take care of their own, that type of thing).

Have you forgot the first time you worked at a fed facility and saw all the b.llsh.it, incompetence and stupidity of the fed workers? You know, as do I, that you nor I would hire any of the fed government workers to work for us, as they are lazy, stupid and incompetent, and those jobs are "gimme's", mostly political favors and minority hiring preferences. Only about 1 % of those workers are worth hiring, and that 1 % don't get the promotions as they aren't "s.ckas, ses" (which get the promotions). You know this is true. The best don't usually work for government nor for very long.

Long before minority hiring, government already had a "preferences" hiring, and still does, it's called : Moron : irity hiring !

And now, (a slight deviation) to the "Mainstream Media". I'm from the "I Love Lucy" generation, as I know rsquirell and Quality you are too. Network TV went totally down the drain with the advent of MTV, and then ultimately died with the "Talk Show" format. This form of "Gossip" (we need to know everything about everybody) now seems to be the basis for all these "Reality" TV shows. What happened to the "Good Ole Days"? Have we all become so obsessed with scandal? (Frivolous lawsuits and lawyers coming out of the woodwork to sue people) When’s it all going to end, or will it end?

Back from dinner...the reason I went over the war records of the Senate's war heroes is to point out the similarities. Note: they all were officers. My experience with officer's in combat was some were really crackerjack...they'd go over what they wanted to do with their Senior NCO's and get out of the way, provide support, checkout progress and provide suggestions. Then there were the Elitist *******s who micromanaged, didn't care about anybody but themselves, would sacrifice your life for their greater glory, and would fabricate, lie and coverup to keep from disclosing their screwups. they never took responsibilty for their own actions...it was always someone else's fault. And, lastly, there was the totally inept...like the Captain I described in my war story. Hill 875 is to the 173rd as Hamburger Hill is to the 101st ABN...it was a real meat grinder that happened during Tet'68. One of the actions included a Captain who couldn't read maps who called artillery in on his own position...and killed 103 of his 120 man company. I'd put Cleland in the inept catagory...and McCain, Kerry and Kerrey in the Elitist ******* catagory, and like Elitist *******s Kerry and McCain have formed a committee to prevent anyone from retrieving pentagon reports writen at the time discussing their war-time records. This is your war hero guys...

This is your war hero guys...
I had many uncles (all now deceased) and dad whom were in WWII, all honorably discharged, Bronze Stars, Silver Stars, Purple Hearts, etc.. My daughter's maternal grandfather received the Congressional Medal of Honor (as did one of my friends and of course the $600.00 mo. V.A. stipend for heroes . They each respected me very much as a man, as my dad had raised me to be "a man amongst men", and I further purposefully toughened myself, as a boy.

My uncles and I would say, " That's what a hero is worth after the war, a few medals and sometimes a $300.00 mo. check (or whatever it was then). ". They told me, in no uncertain terms, "We've been there , we've done that, and, it's nothing.".

Well, I didn't flinch, nor falter either, but no stipend, nor even a disability award. Anyhow, my uncles , friends, etc., always looked to me as their hero, and I spent many years not letting them down. Even when the m.d.'s admitted my physical disabilities, when rated seperately, were 100% disabling X 5 (minimum), I still plodded on the best I could.

When I was a boy, my heroes were my uncles (and dad, sometimes), grandads. Today, I understand all the heroes are dead or are dying, and I already know where the heroes go, when they die.

But, every now and then the earth doth quake and some are freed, as the philosophers, sages, and prophets, did admit. So, whom frees the heroes?

Heroes aren't overly concerned with going to heaven, as you correctly surmised.

I still like "...Lucy.", but I like the MTV, also.

The "Talk Shows.", are really sickening, nothing usually but "P.W.T." (Poor, White Trash (whom our mothers forbade us to associate with (mostly retards))). Such people make up less than 2 % of the caucasian population and yet they are publicly displayed on Broadcast TV (nobody would pay to watch such stuff on cable). Well, you've heard of "Black Exploitation movies", well, that's "White Exploitation Broadcast telly".

Some lawsuits aren't so frivolous, though so ruled by an inferior judge. I've been researching on the net and some postings by some "illuminated" persons (New Ager's), and also some whom whom claim that, 9/11 was a Celestial judgement against the US and that there will not be any prosperity for a very long time, if ever. I enjoy some of their "outlandish" speculations about great beings and such foolishness, they are like children being told about Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, they're gullible, but that is whom adheres to a religion. Still, that post about 9/11 does strike a chord (action/re-action, etc.), we all know it has to end sometime, it's that it's ending before the leeches got what they wanted, which has the ring of "truth".

Sobering thought. Hang in there , brother.

Trying to sober some people to the fact that we are worthless, both to the US people and to the US government. The reason for the worthlessness is not that we are worthless, but that the government's public guilt is also displayed by the people's public guilt (both government and the people make a $ profit from war, as does religion), because the government is so, the public take their cue from the government, like trained monkeys.

War is done for a profit. The US initiated every war in the past 100 or so years. That's a lot of $ profit, and a lot of guilt.

Remember after the American Revolution, it was perceived by the people that they did not want to be ruled by a King, but by "Countrymen like us" was the notion. It was never intended to be a democracy in the true sense, hence a Republic was born. Now it seems that some of the "Countrymen" have turned into the "Kings".

The common argument against the revolution was "why should I exchange rule by a tyrant 3,000 miles away for rule by 3,000 tyrants 1 mile away."

My "Significant Other" is from Lithuania, but as a youngster was in a Siberian refugee camp. The Russians also, has their many tyrants (the Bolsheviks). It's another historical similarity, the Czars did their share of persecuting, and then the Bolsheviks came along and did their share. So it flip-flopped, until Lenin came on the scene and then a whole new phase of corruption started.

Although it's true Lenin stopped the Bolsheviks from ransacking the part of Zimi Dvarietz which houses the Hermitage, I was of the impression he founded the Bolsheviks to use the "useful idiots" to capture the Czar...but abandoned the "true believers" once he gained power and needed get rid of the radical elements lest they be used against HIM.
