I'm back to my original trade as an restoration/finishing carpenter after wasting 16 years in the computer industry as a system tech & re-seller.
Since I have come back to my original trade all the ulcers have disappeared.

That is something I have always wanted to do. I love to refinish old furniture. Just got done ripping the carpet out of my 70 yr old house. I found original hardwood underneath - painted white! Used a putty knife and steel wool, and the wood is gorgeous!

Carpentry & restoration, especially, is definitely gratifying. I can still drive around an look at projects I built back in the 70's and smile.

Can't say that about computers thou. Obsolete in 7 months and in a land fill in less than 7 years.

Pay's pretty good actually And you can't beat the lifestyle!! (Actually, I am an investment banker).
