I'm sure you have all seen this crap as well. The end piracy commercial with Sean Astin, and James Cameron in it. Sure, like those guys are going to starve because we're copying a few movies. Maybe if they didn't pay ****ty actors umteen million dollars a movie, then they wouldn't have to overcharge at the theatres, and people like myself would be more willing to see a movie on the bigscreen instead of downloading it. Sure I go if I really want to see the movie, and I feel it's going to be good. But I've been wrong before, (Battlefield Earth, don't know what I was thinking!.) Anyways, how much money did Mr. Astin make from the LOTR trilogy?, and Mr. Cameron is set for life after that steaming pile of **** Titanic. As for the rest of that commercial, I don't think they're going to fire Billy down at the movie theatre because people are pirating videos, especially when movies are still pulling in 86 Million dollars on opening weekend. The same goes for the recording industry. Yet the companies make more while the actual artists make less in that field. The avg. recording artist recieves roughly one dollar and some change for every cd sold. While the recording companies rake in the other 16 or 17 dollars. The musicians actually make more money from touring.
So we're not really hurting any of the actual artists, I mean, unless only being able to buy a Bentley, instead of a Ferrari, and a Bentley this year is considered hurting. ****ing babies.
I say pirate everything you can and tell the industries to go stick it. It's time we took the power back.
