Menu Is generic -- Checkbox checked
    >>Settings make sure If Generic -- Import ... is checked.
And don't check Bypass Vmg playback
I assume you are selecting the Menu10Movie template.
Thanks FallenAngel, now the generic menu works well
But the menu that I designed and compiled by DVD-Lab does not work for these 5 movies produced by WinAVI. I've tried almost all combinations of the TW options with no luck. The menu that I've created is just a very simple one with just five buttons. After I clicked on the first line "Video_ts" and load the menu, followed by pressing the "Save Changes" button, it shows in the "Select Menu to Add To Compilation" window as following :

    Video_ts -- C:\DVD\Video_ts\Video_ts.vob
    Vts_Title 01 -- C:\DVD\Video_ts\Vts_01_0.vob
    Vts_Title 02 -- No Menu:
    Vts_Title 03 -- No Menu:
    Vts_Title 04 -- No Menu:
    Vts_Title 05 -- No Menu:

Could you please tell me what have I done wrong and how to go about fixing it.

    Your help is greatly appreciated

I'm only guessing (not being able to see the menu you designed) if You saw Add Menu.. after Save Changes TW hit an error on menu import

Pls Zip up ifo's of your compiliation
Zip up the menu (Menushrink to reduce size) Video_ts. ifo and vob and any VTS_nn_0.vob and ifo's.

I'm not sure but I'm checking if TW req. at least 1 VTS menu for proper import
No thats not it importing Only a vmg menu works fine

No, all options disapeared after pressing save changes.
Attached is the info including compiled DVD, Undo directory and the menu to be used. Really hope that you can help me to sort this out. Thanks very much for your time and effort.

Okay Castros at first glance you DVDLab menu is seriously F!%&ked.

Your menu has 5 ttn in vts_01 --- your compiliation is 1 ttn per vts
I see no vts_01-0.vob -- (You probably didn't include it)
I see no Menu to select between movies (Should be in video_ts.vob) you probably madt it in Vts_01

Your Compiliation seems to be fine
This is a fairly educated guess as to what you did--
In dvd lab you dragged 5 (Movies/dummys) into Vts_01 menu structure (should be seperated into multiple vts's)
Your Video_ts menu should contain the 5 button menu (jumps to each seperate Vts menu/movie)

          Start all over in DVDLab
Heres an old How to make a Menu -- Wink guide I made -- Use it as a guide

P.s Undo changes TW made in compiliation before trying again

Caution -- In that old guide I created a simple Resume button -- DVDLabPro's logic on resume was slightly flawed. (Works in most cases -- but not all)
Had to hand fix the templates (Best just to avoid a Resume button unless you are knowledgable of dvd command chains)

Now the menu works perfectly as desired, very much similar to the generic one. But there's one more issue to resolve here, it will return to main menu at the end of each title. As this is mainly used for TV series, how can it play the next title without having to press the button on the remote control ?

Your explaination and beautiful guide from the previous post are of great help, really appreciated

Thats the default behavior I selected on add generic menu because of the resume logic (after each "movie" played I "reset" everything to start clean) and to have a "Beer Intermission"

I'm not sure this will work but it might
You could try UNDO >>Add menu checked >>all others unchecked

(You lose the ability to import Vts_01 menu to all vts titles)

---In this case if the original operated in that fashion the TW'd should do the same (Unless a command chain error is detected)

or in Lab Pro Connections window create a connection between tail of movie 1 to start of movie 2 etc

Or in Pgcedit alter the post ttn commands to jump to title

Just tried it, it does not work.
Also, DVD-Lab does not allow drawing connect from movie 1 to movie, only allow end of movie to VMG Menu or VTS Menu.
I might try Pgcedit but had not used it before.

Yes I might have guessed that -- You probably don't have a vts menu so TW does not get down to that routine.

And my Lab pro tip was silly (punchy at this end)-- can't jump from movie to movie without entering vmg pgc

BTW -- edit the menu in pgcedit -- Then the changes will be in "your" template

Okay Castros -- You are getting into fairly advanced stuff well beyond what the "Get it done" TW user does -- This has more to do with menu authoring then TW
                      But ...

You need to create a blank pgc dummy in vmg

you need to alter the post commands of each ttn to go to that vmg pgc you created with a unused gprm set to say the movie you wish to play
Assuming that gprm 3 is unused

                      Ex.
ttn 1 post command will have a command jumping back to the vmg menu pgc
                      edit that command to
                      set gprm3=2
add a command jump to the "vmg" dummy you created

do this for each ttn in each vts

the vmg dummy will need something like these commands (4 movies in this ex.)
                      1 if gprm 3 != 0 goto line 3
2 jump to vmg pgc menu or fp
                      3 if gprm 3 > 1 goto line 5
                      4 jump title 1
                      5 if gprm 3 >2 goto line 7
                      6 jump title 2
                      7 if gprm 3 > 3 goto line 9
                      8 jump title 3
                      9 if gprm 3 > 4 goto 11
                      10 jump title 4
                      11 exit

You will have to decide if learning the actual mechanics of using Pgcedit is worth the trouble
Much the same could be done in LabPro using the vm command

Just as an aside, DVD Remake Pro lets you combine DVDs including full menus in one click. It is not free however.

Blutach -- He's already done that Via TW Menu4movie -- Hes trying (And has created) his own VMG Menu in LabPro. He is tinkering with the post movie behavior. I don't think DVDRb will help in this case. I'm not sure if he has "Original Menus"

@FallenAngel, I had tried your method posted at #223. Unfortunately it does not work for me, probably I'm not familar with PgcEdit or I've done something wrong.
But I understand the logic behind your method, hence I used your idea in DVD-Lab and it works brilliant. All I have to do is to add a command object in the VMG Domain. Link the end of a movie to that object and then from that object to next movie.
Now I can create as many of these menu with DVD-Lab and then use it with TW.
Of-course I could simply use DVD-Lab to do all the authoring. Unfortunately, DVD-Lab is just like all other authoring tools that require recompiling of the whole DVD. This will take up a lot of time, disk space and disk wear. Since I've already got the working DVD without menu in a folder, so what I need is just a menu and TW from FallenAngel is best suit this purpose. A million thanks to FallenAngel for this fabulous software and for all these great helps.

                                Hi Blutach,

Q1: Does "DVDRemake Pro" and "TMPGEnc DVD Reathor" basically do the same thing?

Q2: If so which one is more powerful and works FASTER ... & ... Easier?

Q3: Is there any other FREEWARE ... with SUPER EASY to follow guides to just ADD MENU to the compiled VOB's or MPEG's?

                                Thanks!

                                G!
