The warning is displayed because you have left the "keep programs in sync" checkbox ticked. With this option, when you delete a cell, the programs of the subsequent cells are not shifted. Therefore, there are now 2 programs pointing to the last cell (programs 25 and 26.) Because it is not possible to display the 2 numbers in the GUI, you can see only program 26, but program 25 is still there.
To reorder the programs, simply click two times on the Prog button of the last cell. This will redistribute the programs normally. Of course, since there will be one unused program, you will have also to delete the last chapter. After the operation, you should have 26 cells and 25 programs and chapters.
You can also delete the cell after unticking the "sync" option. You will also have to delete the last chapter.
Sorry if that sounds very complicated, but I've added this option because it is really difficult to rearrange the programs and chapters when you delete a cell near the beginning of the PGC. In your case, this option is not useful, and is even confusing.

Also, I forgot to say that you should have unticked the Create program and chapters options in VB when splitting the cell. You don't need a new program here. But that's not important, since you know now how to remove it with PgcEdit.

BTW, I've just received the answer of Jsoto regarding the cell with a VOB ID change:

I think the best option is to fix the time stamps of the cell, but I do not now if I can do it easily...I'll take a look.
That confirms that currently, VB can only replace safely ONE cell at a time. However, when you will have fixed the programs problem, I think you will have a perfect DVD ...but still without the chapter menu for side 2!

That was one part I could never get right so I would just hide the chapter button.

IMO, you can keep the original chapter menu, as it should work well, but you cannot access the chapters of the original side 2 with it. As I said above, it is possible to import the chapter menu of side 2, but it's really not easy, as you have to modify many thing, create new buttons to jump from one part of the chapter menu to the other one and vice-versa, etc...

OK, I'm afraid something else got screwed up. I unticked "keep programs in sync," and removed cell 26 with PgcEdit, without a warning. Then, I double clicked on the last chapter box and everything seemed fine, except it told me that I needed to "Rebuild the time map" again. I wasn't going to do it (based upon your previous instructions), but I left the warning open to post a screenshot for you to see, and somehow, I think it rebuilt the time map anyway, because all of the sudden I received the following warning:

I think this is the same thing that happened last time, but I have not fixed it yet. Is this the bug in PgcEdit? What do you suggest now? Should I fix it and go through the same process as I did previously? Here's my Info --> PGC

You've probably experienced the famous NTSC bug of PgcEdit's rebuild time map function! Don't worry, it is not difficult to fix it. Use VB to rebuild the time map for now. Then, open the title in the PGC Editor again, and if you receive this warning again, just accept to fix the total time. You can also verify if the cell times are right by comparing them with the original IFOs.

BTW, I've just fixed this time map bug, and I will release a new beta soon, but before, I want to find a workaround for the merged cell with wrong VOB ID reported above.

Here is the new beta: PgcEdit_winexe_8.1beta2.zip. If you want to rebuild the time maps with PgcEdit, you can probably use it safely, although I have only tested it with one NTSC DVD. Use it with care anyway.
I have also added a simple check for the merged cell problem, but here again, I'm not sure it is sufficient to trap all possible discrepancies.

r0lZ, I'm afraid I'm making a mess of this DVD. I hope you can tell me otherwise, and that it can be fixed easily. Here's a summary of what I've done since my last post:

I opened VB and poked around for a function to "rebuild the time map," but couldn't find one, so I thought that I needed to go back in and re-PROCESS. After re-processing and saving the movie, I opened it in PgcEdit and deleted another small cell created by VB and adjusted the Chapters. Again, PgcEdit told me that I needed to "rebuild the time maps," but this time, I clicked "no," since the last 2 times it screwed up some of my cell times, and you had said it wasn't necessary since we were dealing with a tiny cell.

Then, I noticed that some of my cell times were still off from the cells in the original disc 2 movie, so I went back into VB and began splitting those cells, putting the mark at the very end and then re-PROCESSing one cell at a time. I unticked "Add Program" and "Add Chapter," but it put a tiny cell after each cell that I processed. Then I went back in PgcEdit and deleted the tiny cell and adjusted the Program/Chapter. The first cell that I did was 13 and the time was corrected afterwards, so I thought I was on the right track. The next cell that I did was 16, but its time did not correct and thus, does not match the same cell of the original disc 2 movie. I previewed both and they are the same scenes exactly, but the times do not match (see the Info-->PGC's below). Why?

Then, when you posted the above, I decided to go into PgcEdit beta2 to "rebuild the time maps" once and for all and fix all the problems, but I received the following warnings and ended up aborting the process for VTS 1, per the recommendation:

At this point, I thought it best to stop and post and not go any further without support. So, here's the Info-->PGC for the reauthored DVD:

VobBlanker should rebuild the time map anyway when it process the domain. (But I'm not totally sure.)

The new PgcEdit error message is caused by the presence of that famous tiny cell with a different VOB ID. You must remove it before rebuilding the time maps, as explained above.

I don't understand exactly what you did with the tiny cells, but I suppose that removing them in PgcEdit is not a good idea. You should remove only the last tiny black cell.

I suppose it is easier to start over. I think this is the simplest and fastest method:
                  • Begin by removing the tiny cell (VOB ID 2) in your original side 2 with PgcEdit. You don't need it, and it causes many problems, as you know now.
                  • Then, process that domain with FixVTS (in place) to remove physically the tiny cell from the VOB files.
                  • Now, load side 1 in VB, and replace the last tiny cell by the modified VOBs of side 2. Process everything (all menu ant titles domains), and output to a new folder, which will be your reauthored DVD.
                  • Load the new DVD in VB, and split the cell (of the original side 2) to recreate the missing chapters. You should select the position where the first frame of the new chapter is visible. Be sure to use the next and prev buttons to select the right split point, as the slider is not precise enough. (Use VB 2.1.3.0 beta4, easier than the old version, as it can create several chapters in the same cell in the same operation.)
                  • Add a new cell with PgcEdit, although this step is not really necessary. If you rebuild the time map now, you should not see the warning any more.
                  • Fix the cell table if necessary (the cell command of the last tiny cell is probably missing.)

Note that I'm not sure that the IfoEdit step to force VOB ID 2 is necessary before replacing the tiny cell with VB. IMO, VB should increment the VOB ID automatically, but again, I'm not sure. Be sure to keep a backup of your original side 1 and 2, just in case...

[EDIT] I've verified. VobBlanker fixes the VOB ID automatically, so I confirm that you don't need IfoEdit.

Thanks r0lZ. Your method sounds much easier than what I did previously. Before I get started, please answer a couple of questions:

                    1. When, if ever, do I do a movie-only re-author in DVD Shrink?

                    2. I'm understanding your instructions to also mean that I don't need VobEdit either. Is that true?

                      1. If the reauthored DVD doesn't fit on the media, you will have to use Shrink as the last step. But first, you have to build the DVD as you want it.

                      2. Yes.

Note that it is relatively easy to use this method in this precise case, as VTS 1 of side 2 contains only the second part of the film. When there are other titles in the same VTS, you have to remove them (using PgcEdit and FixVTS) or extract what you need (using DVD Shrink) before appending the VOBs to side 1 with VB, or you will append also unwanted material.

Also, as long as the VOB ID bug exists in VB, you cannot use that method if the title is made of several VOB IDs. This is why you must remove the tiny cell of side 2 before using VB. Fortunately, in this case, all you need has VOB ID 1.

I did this, but in the "replace" procedure, I could only select one VOB file (i.e. VTS_01_1.VOB). Therefore, only VTS_01_1.VOB from disc 2 replaced the tiny cell at the end of disc 1. The remaining VOBs of VTS_01 were not imported. How do I get the other VOBs of VTS_01 imported?

I still have the original ripped files (sans the tiny cell at the end of disc 2), if it's necessary to restart the "replace" procedure. The remaining VOBs of disc 2 are: VTS_01_2.VOB; VTS_01_3.VOB; VTS_01_4.VOB; and VTS_01_5.VOB.

Sorry, I forgot that. You can create a single VOB to import it with the COPY DOS command. The syntax is:
                          Code:
                          COPY /B VTS_01_1.VOB+VTS_01_2.VOB+VTS_01_3.VOB+VTS_01_4.VOB+VTS_01_5.VOB JOINED.VOB
                          Then, import JOINED.VOB.
(You can replace the cell that VB has already imported with VTS_01_1.VOB, as the cell will be replaced anyway.)

I joined the VOBs as instructed via a command (MS DOS) prompt. Everything went fine:

Then, I tried to import JOINED.VOB 4 times, and VB keeps freezing at the same point each time (73% through the PROCESS). Since VB is frozen, I can't save the log file, but I've copied the last couple of lines:

                              Code:
                              Title VOB Fixing Pointers Started
VTS 01: Fixing VOB pointers in 1 Cells of 13
                              Fixing Cell #13, VID=2 CID=1
VB is "Not Responding" at that point each time. Any clues? Any suggestions?

[EDIT] Nevermind, I tried the "replace" procedure with the previous version of VB (2.1.2.0), and it worked! Apparently, there's a bug in VB 2.1.3.0 beta 4. You might want to tell jsoto. I'm going to do the "split" procedure with VB 2.1.3.0 beta 4.
