Funny thing is that there was a guy beside me checking out ComStar blanks of all things. The thought popped in my head help this guy out because there still was a couple of spindles left at the back (I didn't take them because it is getting tougher to justify all of these blanks to my wife). Then I thought if I help him, that is one more person looking for these Sony's, so I said to he11 with it. So the guy will probably be posting here right after his first burn with those ComStar whatever the heck they are.

The sale must start Friday Feb 16th. I just looked at their site and there was none advertised yet. They had this sale in the 2nd week of January. I picked up 4 spindles then for the same price. 16X dvd+r's had been branded by plextor and verbatim this last year

also valueline coming on spindles and no tape wrap

No problem, good deal but I might go diving in to the shelves at Wal-Mart again & see if I can sneak another couple of spindles in the house before going over to Staples. I don't know why I keep forgetting this, the sale is from Feb 28 until Mar 13.

does Wall-Mart sell Verbatim DVD's in Canada? I thought it was only Memorex at Wall-Mart. I go to Zellers and sometimes see 50 packs of Sony DVD+R made in Japan, but the 100 pack is Taiwan. I have never bought any since I didn't need any at the time.

I go to Wal-Mart to look for Sony 1X - 8X 50 pack spindles which are actually MID Yuden 000T02(000), Made In Japan. Sounds to me like you have found some at Zellers, if they have the octagonal protective ring on top & are 1X - 8X. These are like gold.
