blutach: the screenshot I attached is for the upcoming 3.5 version (currently in the first beta). In other words, the vBulletin developers are already on to it, so it's probably best to wait for their official implementation, rather than install some hack that will need to be removed when the new version comes out.
As for the order problem, it could be because the server's clock was changed while those posts were created, so the order is actually correct, just the time isn't. There is a script on the server that automatically synchronizes the time to a time server, so if the server clock was somehow wrong at the time of the synch (which does happen from time to time), this could happen.Comment

Sorry about that, but the PM post limit was supposed to only affect sending new PMs, not reading them. I've fixed it.
As for the subscription emails (I haven't modified the code for that, so if there is a bug, it's in the forum software itself), did you ever set it to "email notice" before? If you did, it could be because the emails were delayed or something (and so they were technically sent before you set it to "no notice"). I'll test it out and see if I run into the same problem or not.Comment

@admin - re times of posts - this is happening not when I hit new posts but rather when I return to the same page (via History, which I have set for by order visited today. That way, when I want to go back to new posts I can just click on the original search I did for new posts. However as you can see, it doesn't update the order - this is not an isolated instance and never happened with the older version).

Jerseyguy: you might want to unsubscribe and then subscribe again, because each subscription actually has it's own "send notice" setting, and setting that option in your User CP will not affect all the old subscriptions that you have set already (I think).
blutach: You will notice that if you click on the new posts link, it actually goes to a search page (eg. http://forum.digital-digest.com/sear...searchid=2498). What the new posts link does is actually do a search for the most recent articles. The results for this search are cached actually, so when you go back to that link using history or bookmark, the results are the cached ones from the last time you used the new posts link. Of course, this means that the list of threads returned are the same as the last time you used the link, but because some of them have been updated since then, the dates are wrong (and they are technically no longer the newest posts). If you want to bookmark new posts or search for it in your history, use this link instead :
This starts a new search entry for new posts, as opposed to using the previously cached one.Comment

@cynthia - I can not sort on any of the fields - they are just headings.
@admin - getnew does a whole new search - AFAI can tell, this is unchanged.
Going back to the old page (whatever number it is) does go back to the cached page (which used to update automatically in the old software, at least after a minute or so). Also, in the old software, all I had to do to update the page (if I wanted to do this manually) was to press F5 (using IE6).
Now, it still does this - but doesn't update the order so the latest is on top - it used to do this.
Sorry to go on - I do appreciate the assistance

blutach: I think the old software had a separate routine for it or a different type of caching - they probably changed it due to efficiency problems (it is certainly more efficient to just store the search results as a list of thread IDs without any reference to what kind of search it was, rather than specifying for each cache what the original search condition was, which is needed if you want the cached results to be updated in the future).
cynthia: This is a known bug:
I've implemented the suggested fix. Strange that they consider it fixed, but the same problematic code is still in version 3.0.7.
P.S: Is anyone using the enhanced WYSIWYG editor? It's not enabled by default, but you can opt to use it by going into the User CP -> edit options. It's a quick way to make your posts look nice without having to use preview all the time (or worry about HTML or BBCODE).Comment
