    We need some more information

    Is it playing?
If not what is it doing?
    Is there any error messages?

Then maybe is not a codec problem. The problem might be located in the movie itself, a lot of movies that you download are extensions of the player and can be corrupted... try to download it form somplace else...

Per the administrator of these forums ("admin"):

Any digital video problem to do with movies downloaded off P2P should be in the P2P forum, because many forum members do not want to reply (or view) posts that suggests piracy may have been involved at one point or another.

This is correct but let me suggest one thing before you post in another forum.

              Try BSPlayer

use a program called divfix or divxfix, and repair the file.

remove the index then rebuild the index and see what happens. if it still causes problems then try to locate the corrupted frames and repair them or remove them.

also...I don't know if it applies to XVID but, if u have a matrox graphics card, install the DIVX defreezer because some or most matrox cards have problems playing back DIVX/XVID content.

u can also use virtualdub to scan the file for any corrupted frames.

                          Good luck
