i have downloaded some avis from bitorrent and they don´t work .i can´t play them one my players . need Help

Then maybe is not a codec problem. The problem might be located in the movie itself, a lot of movies that you download are extensions of the player and can be corrupted... try to download it form somplace else...Scdlcgs- Improving... Editing is my thing! Have patience...Comment

Any digital video problem to do with movies downloaded off P2P should be in the P2P forum, because many forum members do not want to reply (or view) posts that suggests piracy may have been involved at one point or another.Comment

use a program called divfix or divxfix, and repair the file.
remove the index then rebuild the index and see what happens. if it still causes problems then try to locate the corrupted frames and repair them or remove them.
also...I don't know if it applies to XVID but, if u have a matrox graphics card, install the DIVX defreezer because some or most matrox cards have problems playing back DIVX/XVID content.
u can also use virtualdub to scan the file for any corrupted frames.
