The good news - I think - is that I can play the movie in Nero Showtime from the "output" folder - so does that mean there something wrong with my isos? I tried to make another with folder2iso, and same issues...

in case you've got a video_ts folder simply burn this content with any given burning application such as nero

of course the content of video_ts should play fine when opened with powerdvd

Why the iso anyway?

creating an iso with rebuilder or e.g. dvdshrink makes sense as the creation and final burning of this iso can be accomplished with freeware products

thus you wouldnt need any expensive and overloaded burning engine for this rather simple jobs

in addition to using freeware the iso creation and burning may be a stricter and therefor more precise way of burning the video content

quite a few burning applications have caused errors when burning the video data whereas iso image burning with dvddecrypter/imgburn seems to wirk flawlessly

Ok, well Nero tells me it's too big (just a hair) and I need to reduce the quality or the size to make it work - which would be contrary to what I'm trying to do by not using DVD Shrink....Also, besides using an iso or DVD Shrink, how do I avoid Nero wanting me to use a menu and deviding the movie up into sections, etc.?



Btw, tried making an ISO DVD with Nero and got the same thing as the screenshot above - I double click on it and instead of it playing like a normal DVD, it just opens up showing me all the files, etc. I must have messed up some step but have no idea which one....How do I know if my mistake is in the iso or the original DVD Rebuilder file? If I can play the movie from the video_ts does that mean that's fine?

Actually Uncasms, every single time I make ISO, whether is DVD Rebuilder creating it or DVD Decrypter or even ImgTool Classic and then burning it with ImgBurn, My Standalone DVD Player doesn't read it, and I use Verbatims Media, I usually have to burn the DVD Files instead of the ISO for it to work

• DL and install ImgToolsClassic 0.91.6 from www.coujo.de
• Take the files in your VIDEO_TS folder outputted by DVDRB and run them through ITC - this will create your ISO for you
• Burn with DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn

From what I saw before, the files are not too big - they never are in rebuilder.

And just for clarification, when I created the iso with folder2iso or nero, I had the same result, an unplayable DVD - double click it, and it just opens up and shows me a bunch of files - hopefully, this will be different - will report back in a few


What's DVD DXXXXX or whatever - DVD Decrypter? Should I have set imgtool to automatically burn the disc or does it not matter?

DVD Dxxxxx'er is because Coujo's site is in Germany, where DVD Decrypter is an illegal product.

And also, maybe there a guide that would help me do this, but why can't nero seem to just burn the original DVD from the video_ts folder as opposed to wanting me to create a menu (I don't need a menu - already in the original) and also breaking it up in to so many sections?



Ok, maybe my problem is I should have been using "recode"....So that's it right - I just need to remake the DVD. I was choosing "make my own DVD Movie" and that must add menus, etc. that make it too big....
