when I rip the movie the quality of the video is bad when i watch then in power dvd.
So you havent actually ripped the movie yet (turned it into a working divx), your just viewing it in Power DVD. Your first posting was a little misleading..
Since I dont know what episode of Star wars you are watching, my first *guess* would be, that if its an 'early' episode then it could be a re-mastered copy from the original tape which has'nt been tweaked and cleaned up for output on DVD as well as it could be?. There doesnt appear to be any problems with your Power DVD since you say it plays fine on other DVD's.
DVD Decrypter work very well while smart ripper did not. The movie has 2 different protections on with with dvd decypter was able to find. Then I just used GKnot and it all good now. Thanks for the help.
