I have exactly the same Problem.
I'm running a AMD Athlon XP 2000+ on a MSI KT3Ultra2 Board with 768MB DDR-Infineon Ram and GeForce 4 Ti 4400 (Leadtek A250).
I used the following Programs to encode:
VirtualDub
VirtualDubMod
Dr. Divx
DVD Decrypter
No matter what Codec I use the System reboots after some time. (DivX 5.0.2 - 5.0.5, XVid) I even reinstalled Windows XP SP1 but got the same effect. I'm also using the latest VIA 4 in 1 and NVidia 43.45 Display Drivers.
I'll give it a try now to clock down my memory though I never experienced any Problems. Didn't have any heat problems either though the machine is mainly used for gaming purposes. Where can I disable the reboot function? I coud post my error message then too.
Thanx for the help and support!
