it's supported it... just not the audio

the audio is wave type: 85 mp3 layer TMPGEnc no likey.

I think I'm finally getting somewhere tho.... setarip here is helping a lot...

seems like a lot to go thru to make me vcd's tho, but I'll do it. The pay off is

TIA 4 ne help you may offer me in da futor!

extract the sound with nandub (best audio handling!) by loading your avi into nandub => file => save wave

no rename it to *.mp3, load this mp3 into any audio editor and save it was wave or use winamp to convert it to wav

the wave should work fine now with tmpeg

              yeh:

use an older version of GK...

              or

use compatability mode. XP is NOT the problem

You Guide is Amazing!. I thought that GKnot was very dificult, but with your guide is a pice of cake!!.

                        I've only one question:

                        You said that:

The number right to the LOAD button should have values between 65% and 45%.
More than 70% will hardly increase the quality any further and if you go below 40% the output quality wont be too good anymore!

This is for 2 CD's RIP.

But for 1 CD?. Could you tell me the "ideal" values?. Because (If I don't remember bad), my LOAD value was: 34 (I repeat, for 1 CD RIP and 192KB Mp3).

                        Thanks again.

I let my computer doing my FIRST GKnot DVD Divx movie... Let see what happend!.

PS: I'm sorry because my english is really horrible!!

well, let me try to *answer* your question this way:

don NOT rely on those values toooooo much

they were apropriate in the days if divx3 but with divx5 and BFRAMES, i wouldnt give too much on them!

every movie is different and thus it is quite hard to judge which number should be an ideal value and which *shouldnt*.

reduce your resolution to some 608 x XXX and don not use an mp3 with 192!!! (thats way to much for a 1cd rip)

ogg would be my number one choice for audio strems in particular for 1cd rips, because ogg-quality is superior to mp3
thus you could go down with the bitrate and still achieve awesome sound (e.g. an ogg with 80kbps can be more than fine!)

So, you mean that 128 or less will be very good sound quality for MP3?..

I let the Pc doing other Rip with 160 Kbits, but may be I'll do it again with 128 or less.

I do it in 1 cd because the movie is not a very good film.....

                            Thank you verymuch!!

I don't know if I'm doing the things right...

I always used XMpeg and only 1 Film was Interlaced (I've 74 divx movies)

Now I'm Using Gordian and the 3 films that I doit was interlaced!!! (The One, Black Hawk Down and El hijo de la novia)

                              Sounds Increible...

May be I'm doing something wrong.. (ripping?)....

                              Thank you so much!!!

                                Gknot Guide differences ?

I have looked at your Gknot guide and am left with several questions.....

In the past I have used guides from doom9.org and everwicked.com Both of which are slightly different and now yours is different again. All 3 use Gknot, Virtual Dub, Nandub etc...

Is there any real benefit oen has over the other, or is it a matter of personal choice ?
