Fast Forward Causes Audio Sync Problem

The DivX stuff I encode plays fine if it is started from the beginning and let play. Can be paused and unpaused with no audio sync problem. If you press fast forward button or rewind and then let it play, the audio will lead the video by about a second and will never resync. Videos I have downloaded work correctly. It is just the DivX content I am encoding that does this. The ATI multimedia player I use (MMC 7.2) will work just fine on all DivX stuff I encode but the DivX Alpha player is the one that will show this problem, so, anything I encode for anyone else has this problem with their Alpha player too. Here is my system:

    Athlon 1700+
    256m DDR Ram
    Win XP
ATI All In Wonder Pro 128
    Audio PCI128

    I encode using Flask 0.594
    Mpeg Layer3 Codec FHG-Radium v1.263
    DivX Pro 5.0.2
Usually audio bitrate 112kbs or 128kbs
    DivX 1 pass 905+ bitrate

    Any Ideas??

Use BSPLAYER or wmp 6.4 for divx playback.

BSPlayer works OK but I still don't have a clue as to what I am doing wrong with my encoding. Also my encodes won't even play the video portion when I open them with WMP 8 (XP). I get the feeling my encodes are not as 'standard' as the others I am collecting.

      Still puzzled....

It is not unusual for people to experience divx playback problems when using the divx alpha player or WMP 8+

i'd rather say that's not unusal when using flask as transcoding tool

you should really give other tools a try, flask would be my very last choice.
