    Load the file into VirtualDub
From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"
Post (here) EVERYTHING listed in the information box - or post a JPEG screen capture of the information box...

              you're missing the ac3 codec

why did you not just followed, what was proposed above?
              i.e. installing tsunami!

any player should do the job like e.g. windows media player 6.4, bsplayer, powerdivx, zoomplayer or media player classic

only wmp7/8 should not be used!

tsunamis filterpack has been thoroughly tested and you should install it via *custom* routine with all default settings.

in case you havent installed the pack this way, repeat the installation.

if you did, maybe using a different ac3 filter from within the filterpack might help.

uncheck the intervideo audio ac3 codec and try ac3 filter 052.

i'm attaching a jpg file .. i guess the audio encoding in the file is incorrect, maybe thats why the sound won't play ..is there any way i can correct this ??

could you load your file into GSPOT and post the results?
(gspot is in the tsunami folder)

did you try an alternative ac3 filter while disabling/unchecking the intervideo version?
