    Playing Problem

    Hya!
I'm trying to playback a Divx file but WMP crashes trying to do so.

I used GSpot to know the codec and error:
Video : Divx 3 Fast Motion
    Audio :MP3 ..

The codecs are installed (according to Gspot), but the DirectShow Render displays an error (this is the part which simulates WMP)

Status: 0x80040218 : VFW_E_CANNOT_RENDER - no combination of filters could be found to render the stream....

I am playing the file in Virtual Dub without any problems....

    Help !

    Cheers.

After 30 seconds of searching, here is the codec link:

Download the DivX ;-) codec which allows you to make and play DivX ;-) 3.x movies

The doom9.org downloads section has a functional download of the codec.

                    Re: Monolitus

Given that the DivX 5.02 codec automatically takes over playback of 3.11 contents (and hence installing the codec will likely see no improvement since it won't be used to decode the file), I suggest you get the Tsunami-patched DivX 3.11 codec instead (it prevents the DivX 5.02 codec from doing as stated above). The latest Tsunami codec pack will have it (I trust you don't have any difficulty with looking for a codec pack, do you?)

UncasMS's webpage will have the pack.
