Cannot Play Audio on xvid.avi file (help plz im dyin here)

Basically I D/Led my first xvid.avi without realizing it. Now I'm trying to get it to work and am having absolutely no luck at all.

Now, originally nothing would work, but after downloading a recent xvid compile and divx 3.11alpha the video works.

The sound however, does not. I got gspot and it's saying that NEITHER the sound or video driver are installed, yet I'm getting video.

Gspot recommends a "ac3(0x2000) Dolby Labratories" driver to get the audio working, and I updated my soundcard and got AC3 ver. 1.2.3a but still no audio.

Basically I'm just looking for any help that will get me to the stage where I can see AND hear my files

I've downloaded tonnes of drivers, I just don't know what are right and what are wrong.

    Thanks in advance.

    Chris

PS: Here is a link to my GSpot pic showing what I'm trying to do etc, and what I have. You'll have to Right-Click, Save-As.

You have to download and install an .AC3 codec/filter - This has nothing to do with drivers for your soundcard...

you're actually missing BOTH codecs: video and audio

click my upper anigif, go to my page, download the 11mb tsunami filterpack 397, install it via CUSTOM routine, keep all default settings and you should have no more problems!
