problem with sound on 'the ring'

i have downloaded other VxiD movies and they have been fine but some reason the ring doesnt work.

i have downloaded the bsplayer and the picture was sorted out was thx for that one, but the sound just doesnt want to work.

i searched the forum and found i had to get a AC3 filter/codec. so i did but with no joy.

if anyone has any ideas or even knows why this is happening i would be very greatful.

    thx KsIR*

Which AC3 filter did you install? I would recommend the AC3 filter from TSUNAMI CODEC PACK?

Also, post the "File information" (from virtualdub) for your file.

Don't use REALONE PLAYER, instead opt for WMP 6.4, a software dvd player such as WINDVD or POWERDVD, or my favorite (BSPLAYER).

I believe in the Tsunamic COdec pack the AC3 filter is given the file name of "intervideo" something....

                downloaded Tsunami Filter Pack 3.9.3

                393 is far too old

i wonder where old stuff like that is still hosted!

397 was very good so far, now 3.9.9 is the most recent version (which can be found at my site) including up2date xvid, avisynth, ogg and much more.

shouldn't the software section of this forum have the new Tsunami filter pack 399 because the latest they have is the 393...

from my p-o-v it should or at least out-of-date stuff should NOT be offered any longer.

the problem with later version of tsunamis filterpacks is, however, they are way bigger than 389 or 393 and thus cause much more traffic.

since i know tsunamis filterpacks for years now and because i'm familiar with how thoroughly those packs are compiled and tested i offer them for download but of course i do understand that traffic on d-digest is way different from my little site.
