Upside Down Picture, HELP!!

Hey, Im quite familiar with divx codecs but Ive had to start using Xvid due to some files I downloaded. The picture and sound is absolutly spot on but the bloody picture is somewhat upside down. Is there anyway I can put it right, keeping in mind that Im going to use TMEPG to encode the file to mpg VCD format afterwards anyway. Or if not is there a way I can encode to the right way up?
