    Problem playing back AVI

I've just read your earlier post about this but still can't figure out what is going on.

I d'loaded Gspot and did a fileinfo for an avi file. Says my Video Codec is ok (XVID), but says I'm missing an Audio Codec AC3 0x2000 "Dolby Laboratories Inc". I d'loaded this codec from sourceforge.net (ver 0.68)and installed it but according to Gspot it's not there.

Gspot says it was able to "render" the file using AC3Filter as the Audio Codec using Windows media player, which is what I'm trying to play it with, but can't for some reason.

I notice there's an icon in the Control Panel for AC3 Filter - are there some settings I should be making here?

I have Win98, P4, 256M memory, and, have installed all the Divx codecs 93,4,5,XVID) , and tried several times to uninstall/re-install AC3 codec, but no luck.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.
