Installed DivX 5.02, now have video playback problems.

I've searched everywhere and found nothing to help with this.
After I installed DivX codec 5.02, some of my video files do not play properly. They would play the first 10-40 seconds and then stop. The video playback is normal except that the slider hits the end for some reason after a few seconds and the video stops with it.

I've attempted to reinstall the DivX codec, even cleaned out the registry before doing so. I've also tried the lite and regular installs of Nimo (latest one) but to no avail. Please help.

Here's a link to a shot of gspot I got for one of those files.
    GSPOT

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hmmm GSPOT was a waste of time. It showed ABSOLUTELY nothing. That is a scary thought. Uninstall Nimo and install Tsuanmi 3.9.9 available at my site listen in my sig or UncasMS's site directly

divx5 is an mpeg-4 codec, your source seems to be mpeg-1.

did you install tsunami (399 - no older version) via custom routine keeping all defaults?

if not uninstall it and repeat installation.

              i've found my culprit
for some reason when divx is installed in conjunction with my adobe premiere's encoding, it screws up everything

removing all components of premiere did the trick... i guess i could always edit video on a different box
