Will sourround sound work with DIVX movies?

Well, My subject is basically my question.
I thought about buying a 5.1 soundsytem and wondered, if I could use it with my DIVX videos

5.1 is not only surround but dolby digital

    surround would be 2.0

    BOTH is possible

surround even in an mp3 or preferebly OGG VORBIS audio format and 5.1 in either the orignal ac3 sound stream or 5.1 ogg vorbis.

The use of a player software (or a suitably-capable soundcard) that supports Dolby-prologic (or the like) upmixing will enable you to do just that.

PowerDVD, through its Dolby Prologic II algorithm, can do it. However, you will probably need to have its Audio pack purchased before being able to utilise it.

Is it possible that only very few DIVX movies can play 5.1?
or am I missing some codecs or something?
