    FAILURE.....

    The error i still there!

Now I have tested to change soundcard and change OS. I formated my computer and installed WinME. Well, at least the error changed....instead of rebooting my computer just freezes and THEN I have to reboot anyway!
You have any more idéas of what the prolem might be?

oh...btw...the soundcard I changed to was crystal WDM MPU-401 (found it in a little older computer) if that is of any help.....

what version of directx and video card driver do you use?
i had a problem with divx files too.
my pc frezed when i opened the files until i installed dx8 and the latest driver from www.nvidia.com.
        try updating your driver.

do you have some residen programes opened in your taskbar???
        try closing them all.

thanks.....I have now updated my 3dcard but it didn't help!
The movies still freezes after about 1 min. Or an error msg shows up, a new one this time. Thge only text is "unexcpected error".
and I found out that it IS and audio problem...cause I uninstalled DivX and just listened to the sound. It took longer time before the sound began to play fast, it made it through half the movie this time. And when I installed DivX again then the movie freezed after 1 min again....
