ClassFactory cannot supply requested class (Error=80040111),Unknown file format(DIV3

Having the same problem recently, I have surfed through the many posts and someone else posted a reolution.

    Problem:
    1. WindowsMediaPlayer (6.4, 7.1, 9, etc ...) error message:
ClassFactory cannot supply requested class (Error=80040111)

    2. BsPlayer error message:
    Unknown file format(DIV3)

    Partial Reason:
The problem is that it IS an INCOMPLETE video file that needs the index rebuilt. THis can be done with VirtuaDub, OR with DivFIX (i use divfix). YES IT IS INCOMPLETE for whatever reason. I downloaded the whole file, but for whatever reason, rebuilding the index solves the problem. I do not know the reason why the "complete" file needs the index rebuilt. It could be for a number of reason.

Caveat: Someone else posted that this happened to a file they had burned to a CDR, it was fine before and only now had the problem. THis might be due to something else (ie. recent codec change, deletion, addition, etc ...)

Hi,I have the same problems with two movies. Both movies are on 2-cds.Interesting part is that I can play second cd of each movie perfect but not the first cd.
BS play :Unknown file format(Xvid) with the firs one,and the second one :Unknown file format(DIV3)

I've have instaled some of Xvid codecs and can play others movies fine but just these movies I can't.
I gave this movies to my friend to try and some of them can, some of them can't playback.
Does anyone know what can be the problem?

p.s sorry,my english is not so great, but I think you understood me well

both of you are missing one or more codec

in the first case divx3 is missing, xvid for you glina.

download and install FFDSHOW and when asked for the formats during the installation, check ALL formats (except maybe wmv, which doesnt wrk too good for me)

afterwards all files/formats should run just fine!

this thread btw (only two lines above this recent thread of yours) was meant to be read and helpful in cases like yours!

Talk about all other file container formats and video codecs in this forum, including Ogg, RMVB, MOV, ASF, WMV ...
