    StandAlone DivX Player?

Ok, i want to get a standalone DivX player. Dont really care if it has DVD capability, but VCD and SVCD would be nice, what options are there, and what kinda prices are we talking about. If you could post helpful links for this topic, it would be great.
    thnx

Most standalones (not that their are that many) which play mpeg-4 also do play s/vcd's:

Choose the one you like, however, notice some have divx version compatibility issues.
Did you know you can SEARCH the forum? Fixes common problems too:

Also search on the whole Digital-Digest website:

            Got it!
            Well, mixed feelings.
Probably, I should write a review on this one (hence it costed me almost exactly 200 USD (with a crappy Euro to USD exchange rate and German Tax refund).
            Anyway:
            1. It's made in China.
            2. Manual is in German only, but even translated, it's a piece of S^&t.
            3. Default output is PAL; it took me some 20 minutes of blind remote button punching to guess where it switches to NTCS
            4. Overall design is... heh... 1991? MADE IN SWEATSHOP with an stone axe.
            5. IT PLAYS DivX 4.1 and above, including XviD (!!!!!)
            6. It has more Audio-video outputs in the back than I have an input for (including SPIF, Spur, RGB composite, optical, and ofcourse, the usual ones) and the output is terrific (almost DVD)even on the standard one with 27" TV (that I have)

            7. Here comes the real problem. If you have the HI-quality, hi compressed movies, it WILL HAVE proplems playing'em. I guess, the CPU (or whatever is in there) is just not fast enough to handle it. Anyway, those rip should look great on HD-TV's, but for the common vier (like myself with my sad 27") you'll have to downsample it.

            Anyway, I am excited
