I have a dvd player that runs divx. I have copied a DVD using DVDx, Dvx 5.0.5 and the lame encoder and every thing works fine.
The problem start when I want to capture my old VHS cassette and burn them on a cd.
To capture I use Virtualdub that doesn't use lame. So I have to use the standard Fraunhofer (advanced) encoder that uses no more than 56 kb/s. But apparently my stand alone DVD player needs no less than 128 kb/s to work properly.
So I try now to capture the video with virtualdub and the audio with Totalrecorder that uses lame and I put them together with nandub. Again It works on the stanalone player but I have found video audio syncro problem. (about 3 seconds / 30 minutes and not proportional).
The question is:
1. does anybody have a better idea on how to capture (one pass) ?
2. does anybody knwow a capture programm that uses Dvx 5.0.5 and the lame encoder ?
Thanks for any answer
