    xvid upside down

    Hi there,
I recently upgraded to windows 2003 server enterprise edition and i have been having strange problems with xvid movies, they are all upside and they are jerky, like the movie plays for two three seconds then pauses for one and then plays again.
i have tried different binaries and i even tried ffdshow,
i tried xvid codecs and ffdshow one at a time..like uninstall one and install the other one..problem still exists.
tried different players, WMP 6, 9.0 and bsplayer but its same problem.
bsplayer does give me an error sometimes saying overlay failed. i am stumped can anyone help me out here?
thanks a lot folks, you have always been of great help

Set FFDShow to handle XviD contents (Configuration >> Codecs >> Enable XviD under Decoder).

Once you have done that, go to Configuration >> Miscellaneous, and tick "Flip Video".

Are you "doing more with less?"

to be honest with you i love every single bit of it , its faster than xp on same machines and i love every single bit of the fact.
because it doesnt have any useless services running in the back.
to stay on topic, i have successfully flipped the video but i jsut realized its not only xvid, its some random movies (both xvidand divx and ripped by me) that are choppy. i dont know if its overlawy problem or theres some driver issue going on. one thing i notice is that its probably the opedml avis that are choppy, jerky or whatever u wanna call it.
i dont have that problem with any of the other machines, i have 64 nvidia geforce2 card and bsplayer tells me that hardware is not able to support some overlay feature while it was working fine with win2k and works fine on my computer with old 32mb nvidia card.
i am still working on it

        any suggestions are appreciated though

while playing a file rightclicking into your player should take you to the ffdshwo properties in most players

                  use a decent player

run mplayer2 from your run-prompt or download zoomplayer3 or bsplayer or media player classic
