Someone out there must know what I'm doin wrong here. I ripped one of my own DVD's yesterday just to see if I could make a DivX out of it. I used FlasK to encode the DivX File.
8 hours later I had an AVI. Upon running it with Windows Media Player I got the message that an illegal operation (divide by zero) had been performed in Quartz.DLL. The same thing happened when I tried to play it back with PowerDVD.
I don't know what I've done wrong. I followed the HOWTO's to the letter. Except for one thing. In the audio encoding section of FlasK I was supposed to select "MPEG Layer 3". That was not present in the list so I selected "Divx Audio" instead. Could this be the problem. In which case what do I need to install to get Layer 3 encoding into that particular list?
