i had problems with no sound wheni tried to play an xvid movie got that fixed but now the sound level is very low

Exact same issue here. I have couple of files so far with audio extremely low to the point you can barely hear anything with my 400W speaker set half-way up.
And when any other sound is made it's loud as you can imagine.
Someone suggested me re-installing XviD which I did. I only noticed miniscule improvement using Kopec's version but still way too low compared to other files.
Help?
Update: I fixed the problem. It turns out I had an older version of AC3, installing newest (0.70b) version took care of everything.Last edited by Technotrone; 7 Dec 2003, 06:39 AM.Comment

Disabling DRC in AC3Filter properties also fixes this. AC3 in general is very silent.Non Progredi, Est Regredi
