    FILE

    C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\SuprNova\Underworld.PROPER.DVDR iP.XviD-DEiTY\CD1\underworld.dvdrip.cd1.xvid-deity\underworld.dvdrip.cd1.xvid-deity.avi

    700 MB (or 716,838 KB or 734,042,112 bytes)

    Stats =

    This is a valid AVI file.

    The filesize is 700 MB (or 716,838 KB or 734,042,112 bytes).
    Of that, roughly 509 MB (73%) is video data; the remaining 190 MB (27%) is audio.

    The file's length is consistent with information embedded within the file, so it's fairly safe to assume that this file is complete - i.e. the file has not been truncated or otherwise damaged.

    VIDEO

    xvid XviD
    00:59:12 (85,173 fr) 640x272 (2.35:1) [=40:17]
    1199 kb/s 23.976 0.287 bits/pixel

    Stats =

    The following codecs should both capable of processing this format:

    --> {ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder}
    {DivX Decoder Filter}

    DirectShow is apparently able to play the file as well (see "DirectShow Render", below),

    STREAM TYPE

    OpenDML AVI 1.00
    1 vid frame (42 ms) Split: Yes

    AUDIO

    ac3 (0x2000) Dolby Laboratories, Inc
    448 kb/s (5 ch) CBR 48000 Hz

    Stats =

    Audio Format:
    Code: 0x2000
    Name: WAVE_FORMAT_AC3
    Vendor: Dolby Laboratories, Inc

    The following codecs should both capable of processing this format:

    --> {Fraunhofer Audio Decoder}
    {Nero Digital Audio Decoder}

    DirectShow was also able to find a codec to render it - the sound for this media clip should work fine.

    See the DirectShow Render details for more info.

    DIRECT RENDER

    4cc: XVID NONE
    (S) --> AVI Splitter --> ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder --> (R)
    NONE

    Stats =

    DirectShow partially succeeded to play file. The actual text of the error or warning is:

    0x00040242: VFW_S_PARTIAL_RENDER - Some of the streams in this movie are in an unsupported format.

    The following combination of filters were used:

    {C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\Su..-..world.dvdrip.cd1.xvid} (Video Source)
    {AVI Splitter} (Video Splitter)
    {ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder} (Video Decoder)
    {Video Renderer} (Video Renderer)
