    audio video synchronation fail

I have a problem with the video and audio synchronation. I can't seem to play divx movies without troubles. This is very annoying to look at and really confusing. I've tried different programs, such as virtualdub, vidomi, ace divx player, windows media player and the divx player off course. The divx player only shows stripes of the movie, which is really weird. With the earlier codecs I didn't seem to have any trouble, everything went perfect (even the synch) Can anyone help me?

    Thanks,
    Stefanie

    how fast is your machine?

did you try FFDSHOW as playbackfilter?
    (if not do so!)

does this problem occur for all files or only certain videos?

isn't it somewhere in divx-digest? You should look around, it's hard to miss it

okai, i installed that ffdshow and my videos run smoothly now, fine synchronised.... but my media player (no matter if wmp or realplayer) still use about 70% of my cpu and i think that's extremely high.... i got a p4 1.8ghz mobile, nvidia geforce 2 go, 512MB RAM.

when i play mpgs the player "only" uses about 20% of cpu.... any ideas????

use bsplayer if you want a player that takes much less system resources

Okai, i downloaded that bsplayer and installed it but even that uses 70 to 80% of my cpu.... it isn't the players themselfe that use that much but handlich avis i guess.... even when i preview them in explorer then my explorer goes upt to 80% cpu-usage......

of course avi/mpeg-4 takes much more resources than vcd/svcd-mpeg-1/2
