OGG Problem

Hi, I have two video files with the extention .ogm (other files present include .srt , .sub , .idx and another .sub). I have Nimo codec pack 5 installed. I attemp to play the file by opening it in media player 6.4, but the video does not work. I can hear the audio, and I can see the subtitles, but the video appears to be frozen on the first frame. When I open the first video file, I get a black screen (I assume its starts on a black frame). When I open the second video file, I get a picture, but then it stays like that. There is no motion, not even at the beginning.

By checking the video properties, I see the following filters in use:

-Default DirectSound Device
-DirectVobSub (auto-loading version)
-DivX Decoder Filter
-Morgan Stream Switcher
-Ogg Splitter
-Video Renderer
-Vorbis Decoder

Does anyone know what I can do to solve this problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your response. I have ffdshow installed, but I am not too sure how to get media player (or any other program) to use it specifically. I tried removing the divx codec (assuming it would then revert to ffdshow) but that resulted in media player to show no video at all.

Did I go about this the right way? If not, please explain.

are you sure you have the latest version isntalled??

try this one:

during installation make sure that ffdshow will handle ALL possible formats (you should be asked)

afterwards any player will use ffdshow as playbackfilter - be it media player (all version later 6.4 are crap imho!) or better ones like zoomplayer/bsplayer/media player classic

I found a way for it to work. ffdshow did not work, however, it is still appreciated as I previously was not able to use ffdshow (an older version) for most of my files since they would turn green.

The way I got it to work was by uninstalling nimo and then installing only divx 5 and OggDS0995 .
