    help with distorted video

    Hi all,

I have had this problem a few times since i have started downloading video files.. i download a show, try to play it and the audio is fine, but the video is all distorted and kind of green and choppy. I used G-Spot to find out the codec and it says it is Xvid, I really don't know what to do. I have tried to play it with many different players, but i always get the same result. I am attaching a pic of what the screen looks like when I try to play it.

    Thanks a bunch,
    Adrienne.

Have you tried the very latest version of XviD, whether this is right or not, i have heard that some of the older XviD codecs cause this type of thing when the file is played back. Latest version is RC3, get it <a href="http://roeder.goe.net/~koepi/xvid.shtml"target="_"blank">here</a>

P.S is this with the RC3
