Hey guys, I am not so new to the divx scene so i'm not a total newbie.
I have quite a collection of divxs/xvids etc and very rarely do i have a problem. However recently I have encountered problems playing 3 movies in particular;
Dumb.And.Dumberer.When.Harry.Met.Lloyd.2003.DVDSCR .AC3.XviD-SONiC
Runaway.Jury.DVDRiP.XViD-DcN
Underworld.PROPER.DVDRiP.XviD-DEiTY
The observant people may notice that all of these are xvids, however I do have other xvids on my HDD that play with no problems at all. The weird thing about these 3 in particular is that, before I install the xvid codec, the video plays but I get no sound. Then when I install the xvid codec, windows media player crashes and gives me the following error;
I read the post about installing ffdshow and gspot. I installed ffdshow and now the video and sound work on all 3 divxs, however the sound sounds as though it has been sped up (the people talking sound like the chipmunks ) and then after a few seconds, media player crashes again and gives me the same error as above.
I ran the file through GSpot and it gave me the following info;
Any help with fixing this "problem" would be greatly appreciated. I hope I provided enough info for you to be able to help me, if I didn't, just let me know what you need and i'll get it to you ASAP
