ac3 constant fade in fade out problem

hi,

i've been having a unique problem with a certain group of files (probably all encoded by the same person).

the sound keeps fading in and out on certain spots in the film.. but when i click back to a point after the fade point the sound is ok..but the fade point always fades the sound

there are many many (many...) fade points so it's really destroying the ability to watch the file in a normal manner

any ideas would be greatly apreciated

maybe tryin a ac3 filter like this one might change the situation a little bit:

otherwise converting the ac3 to mp3 or ogg might help or give matrix mixer a try before taking the trouble of converting the sound

i have written this guide for the AC3 => OGG conversion quite a while ago

maybe it helps a little

of course you could just as well use mp3 instead of ogg or use other parameters
